Care Guide

A little care for something you wear often.

Your ANIMOVIBE strap combines vegetable-tanned cowhide, waxed-thread stitching, metal hardware and a glass eye detail. Gentle handling and simple daily care help preserve their appearance.

Keep Your Strap Away from Water

Our straps have not been tested for water resistance and should not be treated as waterproof.

Remove your strap before swimming, showering, bathing or activities involving heavy perspiration. Avoid soaking the leather or rinsing it under a tap.

Your watch’s water-resistance rating does not apply to its leather strap.

Clean Gently

For routine cleaning, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust and surface moisture.

Avoid scrubbing the leather or pulling a cloth across raised decorations and stitching. Do not use alcohol, acetone, bleach, household cleaners or abrasive products.

Keep perfume, hand sanitiser, sunscreen and other cosmetics away from the strap wherever possible. Allow products applied to your skin to dry before putting it on.

If the Leather Gets Wet

Blot away moisture gently with a clean, soft cloth. Do not rub or wring the strap.

Let it dry naturally in a shaded, ventilated place before wearing it again. Keep it away from radiators, hairdryers and direct sunlight.

Do not fasten it tightly or force it into a new shape while wet.

Leather Conditioners and Oils

We have not tested or approved a specific conditioner for our coloured leathers and assembled straps.

Leather oils, waxes and creams can alter colour, leave residue or affect the area around the glass setting. Do not apply a product across the entire strap without first confirming its suitability.

When in doubt, keep care simple and contact us before using a treatment.

Protect the Glass Eye

Wipe the glass gently with a soft cloth.

Avoid impacts, scraping and pressure against hard surfaces. Do not pick at the edge of the eye or attempt to remove it.

If the glass or its setting becomes loose, stop wearing the strap and contact us. Please do not attempt a repair with household glue.

Care for Stitching and Hardware

Avoid snagging the waxed thread on sharp edges. Do not cut, pull or burn a loose thread.

Wipe metal parts dry after contact with moisture. Use snap fasteners gently, supporting the surrounding leather instead of pulling on a decorative element.

Metal finishes may change with use, particularly bronze. Avoid abrasive polish, which may affect adjacent leather or finishes.

Natural Changes with Wear

Leather may develop creases, soften and change in colour as it is worn. These changes form part of its individual appearance.

We have not verified colourfastness under every condition. Take extra care around pale fabrics, especially if the strap is damp.

Loose hardware, separating components or broken stitching should be reported rather than assumed to be normal ageing.

Store with Care

Store your strap in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Avoid airtight storage while damp, heavy objects resting on the glass, and tight folds across the leather. Allow it to rest in a gentle curve.

Comfort and Skin Contact

Our straps contain leather, adhesives and metal components. We do not describe them as hypoallergenic.

If wearing the strap causes irritation, remove it and discontinue use. If you have a known material sensitivity, contact us for the available information about your chosen design before purchasing.

Replacement Support

If your strap develops a problem, email support@animovibe.com
with your order number, a brief description and clear photographs.

For everyday wear or accidental damage outside our quality-related after-sales policy, we offer a half-price replacement option instead of a repair service. Contact us to confirm the replacement arrangement and price before proceeding.

This optional offer does not replace your rights regarding faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. Quality-related claims are handled under our Returns & Refund Policy.
